CONCEPT
Operation ‘Warriors Return’ is a new, innovative, community based project aimed at engaging local disabled ex-servicemen /women in the process of fundraising, design and construction of a pioneering outdoor eco-gym/obstacle course. This all-inclusive facility differs from other gyms in that it is specifically designed to promote the rehabilitation process of those who have been injured whilst on active service.
This project also offers a unique collaboration opportunity for affected servicemen to work alongside young people who are at risk of exclusion. Acting as mentors and role models these valued individuals can inspire and educate these disaffected youngsters on many topics and levels including the benefits of fitness training, teamwork and the instillation of a culture of respect and mutual support .

BRITISH EX-SERVICEMAN—AN UNTAPPED RESOURCE!
Not only does this novel project recognise the contribution that these ex-servicemen/women have made to society but it also identifies them as an untapped resource – eager to be engaged in a worthwhile enterprise where their extensive existing skills and experience can be applied to the benefit of both themselves and others.
Participants will find fulfillment in working with other needy unserved groups, learn new skills , enhance their self confidence and generally create a brighter future for themselves, the young people that work along side them and for those that will use the facility in future.
